In Relation

In Relation was performed at the Yukon Arts Centre’s Outdoor Amphitheatre on August 7th, 2021 and streamed online on August 8th, 2021.

In Relation is an endurance-based dance project which investigates the inherent ties between Land and people, sun and moon, dancing body and dancing body, time and light, space and movement, performer and audience. Performed over the course of four hours, In Relation asks: What opportunities does an exhausted body make room for? How do repeated movements change over time? How does endurance support us in remaining in the process, even when showcasing a “finalized” work? Further, we explore: How can we acknowledge and explore the connection between all things? How can we exist in an active state of honouring these connections? We will be demanding a certain level of rigour from ourselves, exploring the trajectory of a journey over time.
